I am enjoying an evening without yardwork. I’ve been busy getting the garden and yard into tip-top shape for our party this weekend. I’ve weeded and mulched two beds. I’ve planted Easy Wave Petunias. I cut the hedge. And I cleaned the gutters. I guess the guests probably wouldn’t have noticed the gutters were dirty, but I was upset about their performance during the last couple of storms. Everything is looking good, but I’m beat.

The picture is of a cupcake Aprille made for a co-worker’s last day. The cherry is from her mom’s tree, and the lilly is from our garden. This is the first photo I’ve processed with Apple’s Aperture. It’s definitely very cool. I like the organizational and comparison tools. (I’d love them even more with a 24″ monitor.) However, the RAW converter is noticeably different than Adobe’s. I’m still unsure if it’s better, worse, or just different.

Congratulations to our friends Ransom and Angie. They were married yesterday in a lovely ceremony. Aprille and I even dressed up for the occasion. Aprille was very excited to wear her new dress, which received many compliments.
