Whoosh-two-three

Wednesday, November 17th, 2004

Okay, I see I need to make myself post. I just finished learning the rhumba and the waltz at dance class tonight. Both are three step dances. I like the waltz as you get to “whoosh” around the floor. Whoosh-two-three. Whoosh-five-six. And then you start all over again. Forward-quick-quick. Backward-quick-quick. Side-quick-quick. Luckily, Aprille is a great dancer, so even when I mess up, she gets me right back on track.

I’ve never considered myself much of a dancer. Historically the dance floor strips away all accomplishment and lays bare my inner white-boy. But I’m having a lot of fun dancing with Aprille. I think the structured nature of traditional dancing is good for those of us without rhythm since you have something to do at all times. With the basic framework in place, it’s easy to mix up the different steps and dance. It’s the look-at-me rock dancing that escapes me. I generally don’t want people looking at me.

Hello world!

Tuesday, November 9th, 2004

Hello, World! This is the first post to the Crall.org blog. The design is recycled, but I figured it was time to just get something online and work from there. In the future, I hope this will become the focal point for my online presence including my photographs. So there you have it. The flag is planted in the sand. Let’s see what grows.
